Default (Party-Specific) Commands

This primary collection of game commands is provided for general group-level actions when the party is not otherwise engaged in combat, entering a new encounter area or buying/selling at a local shop:


Command Brief Description
Ask GM for Hint Allows the virtual GM to review the current encounter area resolution type and provide an associated hint of what to do next to the player.
Ask Hero for Lore Allows the player to ask all his heroes about a particular lore element.
Camp 8 Hours Instructs the party to secure the current area and bed down for the next eight hours, potentially reinvigorating them.
Check for Illusions Allows the party to check for any illusions within the encounter area.
Converse Attempts to initiates a conversation with those associated with the current area.
Destroy Object Instructs the entire adventuring party to destroy a particular encounter area object.
Listen for Rumors Potentially provides a random lore item within a city tavern.
Recruit Character Adds the encounter's selected character as a new hero to the adventuring party.
Recruit Cleric Allows an adventuring party to recruit a new cleric (so long as there are fewer than two cleric types already in the party and new recruits are available).
Recruit Fighter Allows an adventuring party to recruit a new fighter or fighter/magic-user (so long as there are fewer than two fighter types already in the party and new recruits are available).
Recruit Magic-User Allows an adventuring party to recruit a new magic-user (so long as there are fewer than two magic-user types already in the party and new recruits are available).
Recruit Thief Allows an adventuring party to recruit a new thief or magic-user/thief (so long as there are fewer than two thief types already in the party and new recruits are available).
Research Lore Allows the entire party to research one lore subject regarding the current country they are in (requires one hour).
Search Area Instructs the entire adventuring party to search the current area (activating searching mode).
Sleep (8 Hours) Allows the party to sleep for eight hours within a rented hotel room.
Travel to New Area Allows the party to travel to a connected area from the current area within the location.
Wait Wait for a particular amount of time (one minute to four hours).

Default (Hero-Specific) Commands

These hero-specific commands are available to a chosen character within the adventuring party and allowed when the party is not otherwise engaged in combat, entering a new encounter area or buying/selling at a local shop:


Command Brief Description
Borrow Wealth Allows the player hero to borrow up to 10 platinum pieces per level from a bank.
Cast Spell Instructs a hero to cast a particular spell.
Deposit Wealth Allows a hero to deposit a selected amount of his carried wealth into a bank area.
Gamble Gold Allows a hero to place a bet of gold at an area casino.
Heal Wounds Allows a hero to have all wounds healed (at a cost of one gold piece per lost hit point).
Manipulate Object Instructs a hero to push, pull or otherwise manipulate a particular object within the area.
Offer Item(s) Allows a hero to offer a particular possession (and associated quantity) during an encounter.
Pay Fee/Bribe Attempts to resolve an encounter by offering a bribe or otherwise paying for a service.
Remove Afflictions Removes all hero afflictions (for a fee of 25 gold pieces).
Restore Life Restores life to the selected hero (at a cost of 1000 gp).
Search Object Instructs a hero to carefully examine a specific object within the area.
Take Item(s) Adds the selected possession to the selected hero’s inventory.
Use Ability Instructs a hero to use a particular special ability within the encounter area.
Use Item Requests that a particular hero use a specified possession.
Withdrawal Wealth Allows a hero to withdraw any funds previously deposited within a bank.
