Combat (Party-Specific) Commands

Game commands available to the overall party when engaged in combat:


Command Brief Description
Ask GM for Hint Allows the virtual GM to review the current encounter area resolution type and provide an associated hint of what to do next to the player.
Run Away Instructs the party to try and flee the encounter (returning to the last area visited).
Stand Down Instructs the party to cease combat and attempt to return game play back to encounter mode.
Surrender Cease combative activities and beg mercy before those encountered.

Combat (Hero-Specific) Commands

Game commands available to individual heroes within an adventuring party during combat:


Command Brief Description
Bind Wounds Instructs the hero to cease combat for the round and attempt to bind the wounds of another hero (returned to 0 hp).
Cast Spell Instructs a hero to cast a particular spell.
Close Attack Allows the currently-selected hero to attack and damage a selected foe (via close combat).
Defend Instructs the selected hero to utilize all his skill in defending himself during the combat round.
Engage Enables the hero to engage with a distant enemy and draw it into melee range (close combat).
Ranged Attack Allows the currently-selected hero to attack and damage a selected foe (via ranged combat).
Retreat (all) Provides an opportunity for the entire party to retreat from combat.
Use Ability Instructs a hero to use a particular special ability within the encounter area.
Use Item Requests that a particular hero use a specified possession.
